Get Rid of Negative People

I have a cousin that has never anything positive to say and today I got feed up and told him to lighten up or don’t come around my anymore.  I’m tired of his negative attitude concerning everything under the sun.  Today he had a problem about Obama being our next president and stated that a black person can not lead this country.  One thing I hate more than all others in this world are racists. My cousin crossed the line when he said black people should not be allowed in the White House.  So until he apologizes for his comments I will not talk to his sorry ass.

Don’t you hate it when you are having a good day and someone you care about whether it be you best friend or mother rags on life for no reason.  If this happens to you on a weekly or even worse daily purpose do what I did, the hell with them.

Economic Troubles

What the hell do we do now? Our 401k’s have lost half their peak values in the span of three months.  The national unemployment rate is around 7.5%, companies are asking to have government handouts and to top it off Britney Spears is back in the tabloids. Again, I ask you what are we to do now.  Let’s start by cutting the fat around your house because let’s face it; the only people we care about are ourselves.

First, cut your energy costs. You must realize that once energy has been exhausted through an outlet it is gone and never coming back.  If we cut our energy costs we cut our reliance on the dirty companies such as oil and coal.  When these industries are brought back down to earth with lower profits the better it will be for all of us. Less medical bills to start and you’ll have more spending cash for that trip to Vegas.

Second, shit the hell if I know. This economic situation is new to me.

Detroit Ballout

Yes!! Congress finally did something right, they did not bailout the old school automotive industry.  Detroit needs to get a clue and start working for their money rather than begging the American taxpayers for handouts.  There are two solutions to Detroit’s problems. The first is getting rid of the unions and second is restructuring management.

The UAW is keeping the automotive industry on its knees.  The unions have crippled the auto industry without a doubt.  What the three automotives companies need to do is close its doors and reorganize their workforce. Nothing brings down an industry slower and more painfully than a union.  Lazy bastards.

Management does not get off the hook either. They need to cancel their bonuses and put more money in vehicles that Americans want. We want quality, not the crap they are currently turning out. Stupid bastards.

California Fires

Published by mrfrugal under social, social issues Edit This

The air quality here in Brea sucks right now.  Luckily, I do not live where the fires ravaged the hill side along with the homes that sat upon the ridge.  I live in a concrete jungle so I’m a happy camper.  When I woke up yesterday about 11 am I saw this huge black cloud of smoke coming from what seemed to be the trash dump.  I couldn’t be sure because where my house is situated my view is blocked by an apartment complex.  When I hit Imperial Hwy I could see the flames which were racing through the hillside and thought of my friend who lives up there.

Up there is a new million dollar home complex that has beautiful views of Brea, Placentia and Anaheim. Comical it is now; about a week ago I got into an argument with my friend about the dry bush on the hillside below.  He said helicopters would take care of it.  Well fortunately, his house did make it with only minor damage but his neighbors were not so lucky.

I have been in a couple of fires here in California but this “Complex Fire” as it’s being called came closer to home then ever before.  To actually see red ambers falling from the skies along with 2 cm ash is diffidently a site I do not want to see again.

My Wife Continues to Piss Me Off

My friend from college wrote me an e-mail today inviting me to a party.  This particular friend was also my roommate and a participated in my wedding.  My wife is saying he is a bad friend and I should not go because we have not spoken for over a year.  I told my wife that he is busy man and our friendships may fade but it will never die.  He is not even a bad guy; he’s a hard working professional.  But never the less she does not want to go to the party but if it was her college friend we would be there in a heart beat.

I don’t know what’s wrong with my wife. She wants me home to herself at all time. If there is anybody out there with some advice on my current situation please write to me.

Get Rid of the Negative Voices

Bad Economic News

Yes Circuit City declared bankruptcy and DHL is cutting 9,500 jobs from its American operations but at least we have some bit of good news.  Gas prices keep going down, the loss of manufactured goods is helping the environment and people in general are starting to save more money since they no longer trust the stock market.  Yes, all is not good but we must not fall into the media’s idea that we are heading for death.  Don’t trust television news channels when it comes to the economy, they are mainly full of shit anyway.  CNN, MSNBC and Bloomberg TV are some of the stations worthy of watching but do not trust your local channels.  The local news channels feed off bad news, which is why they never start with anything positive.

Don’t get me wrong, the economy is in the shits but I don’t want to be reminded of it everyday.

Prop 8 Victory

I guess I voted for a winner when I voted yes on Proposition 8. Hurray for me.  However, even through I am not a fan of homosexuality unless it’s two hot women which is never the case in real life; this “victory” will be short-lived.  We must face the facts that this victory was barely won, 52% to 48%. This indicates that the vast majority are not opponents of gay marriage.  I believe if the turn out was +58% in favor of Prop 8 then I would not feel uneasy about not giving marriage rights to homosexuals. But, the fact that the prop was such a close race indicates we should not take the right of marriage away from gays.

Here’s the rub.  We need to keep this Proposition. Why you ask?  Because if we don’t gays will come from all over the country (even though 90% of them live in San Francisco) to get married.  And believe me people that we here in California have enough liberals, we don’t need anymore.  All the states that had no on gay marriage ballots won by vast majorities and unless gays would like to spend their wedding day in sunny Massachusetts then you know were their coming.  A minority of gays is one thing but to have a huge amount is sickening.  Damn, I hate those gay pride parades.

One more thing then I will move on with different subjects for my blog. If you’re gay you’re gay, it’s not a choice (at least for 75%). Homosexuality has been around before the Greeks ruled the Meditranian and they will be around when the next great state is in power. But remember homosexuals in the rest of those great societies were condoned but never given marriage rights.
