Western Cinema
I love western movies. Westerns I would say are my favorite movie genre. Maybe I love westerns because they are truly culturally American. Nothing says America like Native Americans, cowboys, western deserts, horses and government corruption like the old west.
Top three westerns of all time are:
3) The Good the Bad and the Ugly – This is my favorite spagattii western, shot in Spain with Italian and Spanish actors except of the great Clint Eastwood this movie put drama were other westerns of the time were lacking. My favorite part of the movie was the showdown at the graveyard. Man that was great.
2) Dances with Wolves – Probably one the only Kevin Costner movies I enjoyed. This movie gave a true interpretation of the coming of the white man to the Midwest.
1) Tombstone - the best western by far. Tombstone gave an accurate depiction of the Wild West. The movie takes place in the silver mining town of Tombstone, Arizona. With an all-star cast as most modern westerns are today and great costumes the movie was the old west. Accurate storyline and lots of shooting with justice at the end is the way all westerns should end since most thugs in those days were killed before old age. Ah, what a grand time that must have been.
